Just a quick note:

I've received a bunch of messages asking me if this one is the same as the past couple of years....you know, that stuff on the NJ book that AK was kind enough to assist me with.

Nope, this is a new power point I put together with lots of pics of bugs and flies and other stuff relative to hatches this time of year and into the summer. I tested it on my wife, and half way through it, when I asked her if she was falling asleep, she said she was just resting her eyes..........

Come on out if you can, it's great group of guys and if nothing else, we get to talk about fishing for trout with no one there rolling their eyes.....maybe that's what my wife was doing.

On the way home tonight I stopped off at Staples and bought some new
Sharpie Permanent markers just in case you want ME and Matt to
autograph OUR book.. we wrote... together... I did most of the thinking..
Matt is a glory hound... I worked day and night thinking about the book...
Matt was a party animal during that period... I should have my name on
the cover.. but I loss the flip of the coin... No sour grapes on my part..
but I should be on the cover... I picked out the silhouette of the fish on
the cover... again no credit where credit is long... long... long over due.

I am over it....

I really am....

My idea to use red for the roadway on the maps.. again.. no credit.

I am over it....

I really am....

Thursday night lets see if Matt allows meeeeeee.... to sit up by the computer
during the presentation.. Matt the GLORY HOUND...


Anyway.. I shall be there at Hacklebarney TU meeting for the presentation..

Best wear your feathered Fadora then if you really would like to blend in. The meeting starts at 7:30 most are there prior to talk, weave tales and meet new friends and old.

For any of you that did not make it out to Matt's presentation you missed alot of good information on summer and mid summer dry fly fishing was packed with information on the hatches that accur along with the flies that he ties and uses to fish them. Was a superb presentation!And a good time with friends and fellow fly fishermen. Thank you Matt!

It was a great presentation and I picked up a lot of useful information. It was also nice to meets some NEFFers and see a couple folks I'd met before. But I can't believe I missed my big chance to meet the one and only AKskim! I had even brought my copy of "Fly Fishing New Jersey Trout Streams" for him to sign.

Thanks for the great presentation Matt. I hope you don't mind if I shoot you a couple of follow-up questions. I'd like to tie up a couple of those patterns you showed us, but I think I need a little more help.
