Lost and Found: Sage rod in Gorge

Hey Guys,

One of my customers called and said that he picked up a Sage rod probably an 8-9 foot model with an unidentified reel in the Gorge today. Apparently, someone had it up on top of the car and drove off. If you know anything have the owner call Shannon's Fly and Tackle at (908) 832-5736. The Good Samaritan would rather keep his phone number private. I will contact the person who picked up the rod. Thanks.-JH

The finder can try contacting Sage with the rod serial numbers. If the rod was registered (Guarantee card sent in) Sage would have the info.

Hmmmmm.... Good idea, I've never registered my rods because I didn't think it really mattered, but that's a great reason to register. Thanks

Sage Rod at Gorge

My buddie and I were fishing the Gorge on Saturday. He fishes with a Sage Rod with a no name reel. It's a three piece - he bought the rod blank and built it himself. He wound up breaking the tip off of the rod and switching over to his spinning rod. Please let me know if the tip is broken off - I haven't talked to him since this weekend - if this is the case - I'll contact him.

It's not the suggestion that was a good one by BJ Miller that sparked me here, but to hear every one trying to get a persons fly rod back to them. It enforces my trust in fellow fly fishers and makes me glad to be part of such a nice crowd as this board has been and currently is. I don't post much but I think Dennis will tell you I am a long time member of this board. And why I am on the subject, don't forget to send a few dollars in every now and then to help keep this board going. Dennis does put a hell of alot of time and work into this site. I remember what this forum first looked like when Dennis started it, As always I say nice job again to Dennis and thanks to all who post here for making this site one of my favorites to visit.

Rod found!

The sage rod has been returned to its rightful owner and no it was a model without a serial number just a model number. Thanks to everyone but Jeff L. is a happy guy. Apparently he was fishing and fell and banged up his knee. When he left the Gorge he wasn't thinking about the rod on top of his vehicle. -JH
