Hers another one, first person to identify the fly and who originated it iwill send one. If you want it.IMAG0360.jpg

My guess is not a woolly bugger:)

Amazing work. That is truly an art. I tie ugly bugs by comparison and never got caught by the salmon fly bug, at least not yet.

Rusty, don't ever get bit by the salmon fly bug. It will take you over. I also starting building wood lures for stripers. Just what I needed another hobby.

I can't believe only three people have taken a stab at the answer...who wouldn't want that fly...It's a salmon fly!!! I will find the name, win it, tie it on my tippet and catch a salmon in the SBR!!!:)

Well if it was tied better we might be able to decipher.. (full disclosure: I don't know anything about salmon flies..just thought I'd throw my hat in the ring with a guess since it's a beautiful looking fly)

If that's your interpretation of a CHILDERS, please donate it to Project Healing Waters.
I believe the North Jersey Chapter of TU is our local contact.

Pete, I already guessed that.......and was WRONG......:)
I guess I missed that... (senior moment).

I found a web page containing various tiers interpretations of it.
It was amazing how different the same fly could look, depending on who tied it...
Some of them looked a lot like this fly.

I agree, I think we are both right...TM just wants to keep the fly, and watch us all scramble to guess more and more and more....:)

I do believe that fly has been christened " The flying Wasp "
Oh, come on, it's a commemorative fly honoring the 27.5 year anniversary of Caddy Shack

So far no winners. Some pretty good guesses though. Pete you are right that the same pattern can look very diffrent depending on who tied it. I wonder what kind of hint I could give you guys. It's a wonder I am even able to tie salmon flies with my clumsy fingers. I wonder if its supposed to snow next week?. Well can't think of any hints sorry.

Ha ha is it a dee or spey fly not a salmon fly? Is it a varient of Dee Snow Fly made famous by a Mr. Snowie on the river Beauly.

TWe have a winner. Thrasherz. Too easy. Pm me your address. I have to tie another one because that one is on its way to Canada. Or you can yell me what pattern you want and I'll tie it if I have the materials.

Oliver, I don't sell them. On occasion I'll give one or two away. I love tying them,I stick them in frames and have them all over the tying room.
