I've been doing a bit of house cleaning around here

I'm still trying to dust off the cobwebs around here. Although not complete, check out the new forum layouts on the main page. I've consolidated some of the old forums and I've been re-arranging things to make them more user-friendly.

Also, I'm working on the "Home Page" Too. If you click "Home" at the top, next to, "North Eastern Fly Fishing", you'll see a photo's tab with a brief description of the photo. I've set up some of the links to USGS sites, historical sites, etc...

As usual, please feel free to let me know if there's anything else you want to see added.

We can have Beetles blunders, The AK Corner, Joe T's Entomology class, etc.. AK was certainly an interesting guy. He traveled an awful lot and documented every trip. His logbooks were quite impressive. Joe T was very enthusiastic about discussing entomology. Beetle was great because he knew how to make fun of others while poking fun at himself.

I think there was a lot of involvement from more than those 3. You also had AK calling people "zipperhead" and challenging anyone who would cross him. Remember Corndog? I think he was a pretty good guy.

One thing I've learned is that you can censor 1/2 of the people and alienate the other half, or you can let the forum run it's course. In hindsight, maybe I should have been a little more strict on the rules. You can make 1/2 of the people happy half of the time but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time.

We'll never get to where we were but I'm trying to improve the place to make it more enjoyable for everyone.

Fair or foul?

I was doing some research and found a few things that might interest you guys. Snagging, hooking or attempting to hook a fish where by the fish does not volluntarily take the hook into it's mouth. Foul hooked, a fish that is hook anywere but on the inside of it's mouth. Nydec, all fish foul...

Condensing this and giving it a new look is a good move. I think this will do well. It's already doing better than a few months ago. And there are no trans activists patrolling-yet. But if they do, a few new flies-like a red hendrickson quill with cdc puffs-will calm them down.
