There were no takers on the second pontoon boat so I decided to be lazy and wade for the day. Was on the water by 7 am. There were nice clouds that helped keep the sun's effect low. Started out with top water and found a few willing fish. Then I decided to hike upstream to another stretch. The water was in great shape, low with a bit of color from the rain. I put on a white slumpbuster and starting finding willing fish right away. The fish were thickly stacked in feeding spots, below ledges, drops, and current breaks. Where I usually found one fish, I was finding 3, 4 or 6, wow! The fish fed all morning into the early afternoon when I stopped for a break. I decided to eat lunch and then fish for another hour or two. The pattern continued until I heard rumbling thunder about 330 pm. That's when I ended the epic day, my personal best by far. There was also a pleasant bikini hatch in the afternoon.
The size and quantity were exceptional.
