in search of a new rod

Hey guys,, I jus broke a rod and I'm in the market for another one. I'm looking for a 5wt if i could 7'1/2'' or 8 ft no bigger, the rivers I fish aren't the biggest. I found a couple on Orvis but I've never bought a rod from them,was wondering what people thought of them. Ive fishing a 4wt sage right now 7ft cast great just looking for an upgrade, so I'm for some advice guys.

Are you looking for a stiff rod (I mean, who isn't...) or one with a slower action? Why do you like a shorter 5wt just curious?

I mean I'm looking more of a medium action, I'm not not worried about not being able to bring in a big fish . But I like the smaller length. I need to be able to cast in the smaller streams, plus I've never been great with the longer length.

Medium action, nice to know everyone isn't seduced by fast, fast, fast action. I have an old Orvis Far and Fine that is very much medium action and is 7'9". If you're looking for something like that I'd try ebay or one of the other used rod sites.

look into the fiberglass rods.... i think u will find a nice fit
