Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
Very nice. Do you have some lead tied in there to help with the sinking? I've tied some realistics like this, and find that they're hard to get down, even with the lead tied in. Did a few where I hid some tungsten beads in the body in addition to the lead, and they sank faster.
I shouldn't have a problem getting these down loaded them up with lead. I have always had luck fishing two big stones in tandem, one black and one golden. I've noticed I catch more rainbows on goldens while Brown's take the black.
I was just reading about a similar one that was on the front cover of Fly Tyer's Spring 2015 cover (spring? they better be kidding..)
While the one on the cover looks cool - I think yours will be more effective when fished. Excellent tye and patience! You'll have to let us know how it fishes
