Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Get the message ??

I was going to do that, thanks. Fortunately, I don't think there is anyone left here who really needs to read the rules. Anyhow, they'll be good for new users to skim through.

I'm looking forward to the new job guys, thanks. I'll have a week of training in Groton Ct. Any rivers in the area that anyone would know of? Should I bring my equipment?

Thanks

Dennis, i'll still be here because the pay is so good. I think you are going to be near some great striper fishing on Long Island Sound. Post your question on VFS northeast page. If you need an 8 wt rod & reel let me know.

Dennis,

Groton !!, .... You getting your Dolphins ??

Dennis, I doubt you'll have much free time, but the Submarine museum at the Groton base is a worthwhile place to visit.

Also, Mystic is one of my favorite places. If you get a chance to get up that way, the Old Mystic Seaport museum is always worth a visit, as is the Mystic Aquarium.

The Seamen's Inn (located at the museum) has really turned around, great food & not too expensive. For the best meal you may ever have, I highly recommend the restaurant at the Inn at Mystic - it's called the Flood Tide. Expensive, but worth it. The eggs benedict with lobster may just be the perfect breakfast!

I'm sorry I can't be more help with stream info, I haven't had a chance to fish there yet.

Good luck with the new job!

And if you want to get into the mystic "spirit" read the book
"Master and Commander"... great story about one of England's
brigs' escapades on the high seas... Russell Crow played
the Captain in the movie, but the book is better (with respect
to learning old ship lore... both the book and the movie
are somewhat boring, but the book is turning out to be a great
summer read)
