Found a Knife

So while vacationing in Maine with the family, and doing a little striper fishing, I found a knife that looks like it's been out in the open for a little while. However, this is a pretty nice blade, so if you can tell me make, model, and where you were fishing when you lost it, you will be reunited with your shiv.

So the saga of the knife has come to a close. I contacted the manufacturer of the knife to see if perhaps he could help. Since these knives are hand made, he was able to track it down to the distributer, but they couldn't find the owner. This is what the knife looked like when I found it:



It was stuck in the sand for a while, I stepped after catching some stripers with my son. The manufacturer is TCT, a company that is veteran run and owned (active duty Spec Ops guys). Since we couldn't find the owner, Darrin at TCT took the knife, blasted it, re-ground it, and sent it back to me. He even made me a custom sheath. These guys were just super cool about the whole thing. Here is what it looks like after Darrin cleaned it up for me:





Pictures don't do this justice. The weight and balance of this thing is amazing. You could probably cut through a car door with it (make sure its not your car). Really solid, definitely a couple of levels above what I thought were expensive high-end knives that I've checked out in the past. I normally don't plug, but these guys are really into their craft and were just amazing to work with. If you're into knives, here is their website: Tactical Combat Tools: Custom Handmade Knives . They custom make stuff as well for civilians and military (except Tobias because he's a jarhead). If you like playing with knives (which based on some of your pictures you shouldn't handle anything sharper than a Q-tip), then check these guys out.

The company makes and stands by a quality product that can survive being left out for ages and then refurbished it back to original luster.
