Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

In the past month, I've been in just about every fly shop in NJ, Catskills and Central PA and haven't noticed any shortage of hackle or increase in the price. That doesn't mean it will stay that way in the future. Just saying. You must live near Steven Tyler. :)

You guys are looking at this the wrong way. Just be nice to hipsters (as difficult as that may be) then when this eventually goes out of style you'll will have a lifetime supply of hackle.

I could easily see companies such as Whiting charging more if not double for hackle next year. Their spey capes doubled last year, so why not their hackle.

I am tempted to capitalize on this fad, however I have developed quite a collection over the years. Since the birds are on two year cycles this could really put a dent in Whitings supply.

Keep in mind that 40 feathers can fetch forty dollars on ebay. So if you do see hackle maybe you want to grab a neck, and sell a few feathers.

This will be over in a month. Some PETA Dbag will protest it and good bye to feathers in a hair style. I just may contact them myself.
