Headed up to Stokes forest this weekend for some fly fishing in the flat took. Any suggestions for flies to use?

Peasant trail, maybe the Pince Nymp. For dries Hedickson or Atoms. All work wellon the flat took.

I matched this guy on Thursday evening and hit the jack pot. Mahogany/Brown body. 3 tails. Roughly a size 14 to 16. There were spinners and duns in the water at the same time. I was fishing a dun pattern and landed 20+ fish. I was using my Tenkara rod as well. Don't think that'll make a difference though. Not gonna say where to go, but I'll say don't go to Warner's pool. It's so over fished and there are better healthier fish in other areas. I also recommend visiting White water flies at Ross's corner if you need some flies. Nice little shop over there.

And my buddy has been having a lot of luck with an amber body wooly bugger with a black tail. He uses a dubbing for the body rather than chenille. Brushes it out a bit.

Tight lines.

TN- You don't know how bad I needed that this morning.

Graves- If you can read through TN's cryptic answer, they are very good suggestions.

I was there Monday. Later in the after noon there were multiple flies, both mayflies and cadres plus a few black stoneflies. Most were in the 14-16 size range and both light and dark colored. Only a few fish were sporadically rising but I did well on a cream soft hackle fished deep behind a bead head.

I agree not only are the big holes fished to death up there but a lot of the people don't get that some people like a little space when they fish. If you get to a spot and someone else is in there move on. Don't hop in and start fishing a little down and with every cast take a step closer to me. I came to fish not talk fishin if I wanted to talk fishing I'd hang out with the old dudes at my TU meeting.
