Fishing KLG 9/19/15

Planning to head up to KLG Saturday the 19th, possibly with a few members of the Ray Neirle SJ TU Chapter. Most of the time of the time I end up fishing solo or with 1 other member. Anyone else going to be fishing? Or can send me some advice it would be appreciated. Have not been up in a year and this will only be my second time.

the water is low and slow, and i don't think we're getting rain, so this upcoming Saturday may be tough in the KLG, good luck.
 
I was there yesterday. It was beautiful and cool, but low, low. I had some taps using various nymphs tandem. No bugs coming off the water to speak of, so I spent more time just enjoying the place. Met a fellow who said he spent a lot of time there and got two stickies on a caddis. I've had great luck here with black woolly buggers, but not yesterday. The 19th will be easy to find people to fish with is my bet... Looks like a beautiful weekend.
 
I was there on Sunday...lots of fish were seen. I got two on soft hackle nymphs swung under and along the side of rocks, I also got a sucker the same way.....dead drifts produces nothing except a couple of turned heads. I saw a few large slate colored mayflies(assuming the were isonychias) and several very small mayflies, I didn't catch any bugs to get a close looks so I am assuming those were bwo's. Nothing rising in that slow flow, but it was fun to be out again after a three month hiatus. The water is lower than I've seen in years, but at least it is cooling down!!!!!
 
Did a stream survey from Budd Lake to lower end of KLG Monday evening and the temps and the fishing were good. Was 65F at top of KLG and 64F at lower end about 7 PM. People were catching fish and fish were rising at dusk. Most anglers have been fishing from the Trestle up past Meat Hole, but the pockets at the lower end have fish. That said, if we get a warm spell check temps since the water is low and can warm fast. The stocked rainbows have really held over well this summer. Good year for bows, but the wild browns are having an off year.

BTW, the guys up from the KLG were doing as well as people inside KLG. If it is crowded in the KLG it may pay to explore upstream anywhere from Hoffman's Crossing all the way to River Rd in Mt Olive. All the regular spots are still fishing OK, with no pressure. Below Stephens Mill Rd temps have only been getting to about 60F, but the river is real scratchy up there.
 
So apparently I have never fished the KLG, the 2 times I went I fished above Shannon's fly shop, which per the map I was looking at is not KLG. Can someone help with accessing KLG, parking Etc? Or am I better of fishing a few miles of Shannon's as I have done twice before.

I got out for a few hours this afternoon. Very small margaritas were coming off all afternoon. I was using a size 24 and hooked 5 landed 1. Fish were spooky but were surface feeding on the Mexican cocktails floating by in most of the polls I fished. Have not fished for trout since the beginning of June. It felt good to get out.
 
Ok bust my balls I am ok with it. Know this when I was 11 the School stated to my parents that I had ADD. My father took me to a psychologist. After a few weeks of testing. The shrink stated to my father that your son does not have ADD but he does have an IQ of 140. He said that your son is 1 in 100000 with that rating of an IQ .We did find that he is also dyslexic. The Doctor said “that dyslexia can be prevalent with a high IQ. He the appearance of ADD is because his brain can function at such a high level and it process information at such a fast pace that he can not stay focused on one task. That is the problem with his reading and writing”. He told my father that that it should get better as he matures. The reading has. My writing skills are a lot better but not perfect. The dyslexia I will have for ever. The school wanted to put me in gifted programs. My parents disagreed and kept me in the classes I was in at the time. The dyslexia I deal with every day. So I was born with a double edged sword. I been told my whole life your are so lucky. And it more annoying at work, You’re the smartest guy in the room blah blah blah. They don’t get or understand the other side of the coin.
So you want to be Assholes and bust my balls about my typos go ahead. If it makes you feel like a big man. More power to you. I have been getting it my whole life.
