First Time Out in 2011

So I decide to get out and hit a trout stream for the first time in 2011. The water level at my favorite spot is about 4 to 5 times higher than you would normally find it at this time of year but I figured what hell.... let me give it a go anyway.

Sure enough just when I thought the skunk was on I saw my strike indicator hesitate in the current. I lifted the rod up and felt that unmistakable tug of a fish. A very nice size wild brown trout as well! Nothing beats landing a good size wild brown on your first time out!
I'll post a pic for you. Normally I catch browns in the 4 to 7 inch range here so landing one in the 11+ inch range is real good.
