Today I stayed a little closer to home and fished the upper reaches of a LV stream. Good fishing continued from yesterday albeit quite different weather conditions. Today's browns were quite a bit smaller than the Pocono variety of Saturday, but still provided day long action on my go to pattern, the purple UV ribbed quill nymph with an orange hot spot behind the copper bead.
The water was down a bit and clear with leaf problems being at the minimum. There were some olives coming off throughout the day and what looked to be a size 18-20 sulphur in light numbers. However I did not see any rising fish.
It was another odd day with the first fish being a chunky rainbow of about 14 inches. This was another mystery fish from a non stocked section of a wild brown trout stream.

Here are a couple colorful browns from today.

Oh yea, there was one more fish that turned out to be another surprise treat. I must have the blessings of the Rainbow god. Another 22inch + pig that came out of the clear blue.
