First parachutes

Obsessed with Brook trout!
These are my first attempts at tying a parachute style fly.

Not bad at all for a first shot. What fly are they supposed to imitate though? I don't see many bright red bodies on mayflies!

Why not tie a few of those up exactly the way you've tied these, but tie the bodies in OLIVE!!! I think you'll have some winners.

Can't tell if your being sarcastic or not, but they are a version of the Ausable Wulff. Great colors for my small stream brookies.

I was serious. I just didn't understand what they were but that's cool. Whatever works for you. Either way, still not too shabby for the first batch.

I think the color is off a bit in the photo, and monitors are all different. They are shockingly bright on my monitor, but, as was already stated, whatever works. Excellent for a first batch. I would suggest a slimmer profile on the body, and the hackle could be a bit lower on the post. Not that I'm an expert :nose-picking:

I tie them in a similar color for isonychias. When they get wet, they turn a mahogany color:) Nice ties, try to get the next few a bit thinner in the body.
