EC Powell 9'6" 7wt

I just picked up a new thunderstick for some chromers! Single hander this time. Got a screaming deal on a 9'6" 7wt EC Powell 3/2. Hasn't been fished since it was refinished in 1970. All sections are equal length with no repairs done.

Going to put this rod to work when I get home and get my hands on it. Now I have to find a reel to put on my new stick.

Thanx for the post i have a Walton Powell that has become my small stream rod it is a Hexagraph 7'6" 4/5 and i love fishing it, Powell Family has made some really great Boo over the years too bad that asshole Charles Schwaab had to try an think hge could run a rod company...ran the company right into oblivion.........

Hey Tobias,

Good luck with the rod -- I hope it catches lots of fish for you -- That rod looks to be in outstanding condition and well taken care of . Besides that you cant go wrong with a Powell Rod -- If It works and fishes as good as it looks you got a GREAT DEAL
