Delaware Shuttle service

Can I get an updated list of recommended shuttle services around Hancock?

I was just up there last week and used Gene & Ines. 917 224 2950 call/text
theyre right in hancock. they used to run the upper delaware inn (old capra inn) in hancock, but now just run shuttles.

The shuttle business is very lucrative in that area. Gene recently told me he shuttled over 50 in 1 day (he has a team). Crazy! That being said, Gene and Ines are terrific and trustworthy.

Only 50. Who did the other 150! Lol!
The West Branch is like a drift boat parade this year.
It’s actually comical seeing so many boats stacked up
Behind each other , especially on the weekends. The week days
Aren’t much better , but a little less pressure .
Someone should open up a guide school and used drift boat
“Buy here pay here “ dealership and cash in . “You too,can live the dream!”
Lol!

This is why I don't fish the WB anymore. Ever since Dream Catcher came around, the place became a zoo.

That is certainly true to much extent, but the boat issues aren't their fault. More and more private boats are on the water and not just 90% guide boats like it used to be. Of course you no longer see many pontoons anymore as everyone that could bought a drift boat.

Also, lots of the private boats do their own shuttles. I know I try to when I float up there. The guides need to hire a shuttle unless they have a spouse willing to take on that duty as some do. But there are still many private boats that use shuttles as well. That business has to boom this time of year.

I won’t go near the WB when it’s like that. I live up here and have
The Susquehanna in my front yard , I find myself fishing it more
Than the WB, which I started fishing over 30 years ago.The WB during
May and June has become a zoo, way too many boats, and sadly it will
Only get worse with the baby boomers (like me) retiring , or having
More free time on their hands buying boats and floating the river. That and more and more guides ever year living the Dream . It’s an incredible
Fishery with a lot of internet and media exposure, you can’t blame anybody for wanting to spend the day fishing it,but the crowds take a toll
On the fishery and fishing experience. Boat after boat constantly hammering the same areas all day.

I already was a fan of Gene and Ines, but this Saturday sealed the deal for me. My brother-in-law and his friend and I were floating the West Branch and planned to continue all the way down to Shehawken, floating a couple of hours after dark and throwing mice flies.

Long story short, a pretty brutal thunderstorm came through before dark and after it moved on, a dense fog settled over the river. I don't mind floating by starlight, but the combination of dense fog and darkness is brutal. Even our headlamps didn't help, because the water vapor reflected the light, making objects invisible at 10 feet.

So, we pass Ball's Eddy as darkness falls and realize we're royally f__d. I row back up to Ball's Eddy and call Gene, who shuttled my car down to Shehawken. He and Ines actually drove my car back up to Ball's Eddy at almost 10pm, saving us an hour long walk down River Road through the fog in flip flops.

In other words, Gene and Ines are the absolute best. Can't recommend them enough. 917 224 2950

Next time just call me. I will guide you safely to Hoboken.you need not fear the fog or the darkness.

"Guide you safely to Hoboken"? Sounds like you're looking for a weird excuse to drive by the Vince Lombardi rest stop with me in your car, late at night. Save it for the alterboys.

p.s. I don't live in Hoboken. Not sure what stereotype you're relying on, but whatever it is, it's at least 10 years out of date.

p.p.s. Sorry Moosekid outfished you. My condolences. Apparently low fish count is a well known side effect of Viagra.

Yikes you got anger issues and you’re a bit paranoid but the Vince Lombardi rest stop line gave me a chuckle. Well played
