Catskills this weekend?

Thinking of heading up to fish Saturday or Sunday this weekend. Any advise on where I should fish, ie Esopus, Beaverkill, W. Branch, or Main Stem, I will be wading, and imagine levels should be fine. More than likely the Beaverkill just because I am not as familiar with the Delaware and what is open and closed, though I have never tried the Esopus and might give that a try, plus it is a bit closer for a day trip. What flies/nymphs will work best. Still quite the amateur so any and all advice is welcome. I was thinking of fishing from around 10:30 to 4ish, weather depending of course.

The West Branch is fishing well, but it is a tougher river to fish.

The Beaverkill is in good shape.Stay down on the lower sections of the 2nd no kill.Horton/Sunoco

The Big browns are spawning and moving up stream and are eating streamers.Try something with orange and brown.Dennis at Catskillflies can hook you up with a couple of good streamer patterns that work very well at this time of the year.Tell him I sent you..

Also 16/18 PT's have been working well.Make sure to have some small Blue winged olives size 20/22 for the slower water(12-3 p.m.)Pray for clouds!

Good luck.

Well, Joe, I would have loved to come up this weekend but with my hand like this, it may be a bit tough. Hopefully it will be ok by Saturday.

Should I stay or should I go? I think with this heavy rain I will wait until next weekend to try my luck. Or if I am lucky take a day off on Tuesday. With the levels being rather low, will this rain hurt or help this coming weekend?
