Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
I'm going to be in Kingwood Saturday morning to set up for a sporting clays shoot for Sunday. Thought I would pack my gear and fish Saturday afternoon after the setup. Is the Capoolong worth fishing?
I fished it a few times several years back. Got a couple nice wild browns including one real nice one around 14-15''. Sweet fish and one of my better wild browns in nj. A lot of dead water though- I walked a long ways and the fish I found were in the obvious places.

Why didn't you just say the Elk's. Or the place that got the first tv in the area. I'm assuming you mean the present location. Anyway, thanks for the puzzle.

We restored the last section of that stream where it dumps into the SBR a few years ago. I always saw wild browns in it and now it is even better down that way. Not tons of fish as others have said, but they are in there.

I only had about an hour to get out on Saturday (3-4) on the Cap. I chucked a small red humpy for about 30 minutes to see if I could get any fish to come up for a look or take. There was minimal bug activity on the surface, although after a bit of rock rolling I could see there was an abundance of bug life in the stream bed. The rocks I turned were loaded with mayfly nymphs of all sizes.
After no response to a change of a small olive parachute, I switched over to a small flashback scud and took one small brown of about 7" from under some tree roots. I would like to be there when a good hatch is coming off to see what is hiding in some of those cut banks and tree roots. Pretty little stream, wouldn't mind a longer walk when I am in the area and have more time.
P.S. The shoot went well yesterday after my usual pre-shoot hissy fits.
