Brand new to fly fishing

Good day. I've wanted flyfish for many years but never had the opportunity and I've now decided to MAKE that opportunity. I have NO experience and NO knowledge and NO equipment. I'm not sure if this is the best place to start but I'm starting. Thank you in advance.

You've picked a great activity to get started in. We all start the same way as you. Now get yourself an outfit, a package deal from a fly shop is a good start. have them help you get it set up, and start fishing.

Book a 4 hour guide trip with a local fly shop and they will get you started out on the right foot. The learning curve can be steep if you do it yourself. A guide is cheap and what you will learn in those 4 hours on the water can be a full year's worth doing it yourself. I know that both Golden Stone Outfitters and South Branch Outfitters offer guide service and I'm sure other shops and individuals do as well. Welcome to the addiction! I was lucky to have my father teach me at age 7 and have been FFing for 52 years now.....
