Does anyone out there fish the big D near the Dingmans bridge? How's the action in that area? Any advice would be apreciated.

Yes I fish there and south to Lambertville. The whole stretch is loaded with smallies and various species of good fighting fish. Check out my Delaware thread,it just might help you.

thanks Dave, I need two more post to view your link(I think). Ever drop in a canoe over there? It doesn't look too fast, is paddling upstream possible?

very possible as long as stay way clear of the wingdam area. It will suck you through in a split second. the smallmouth fishing is starting to peak right now. Fish the seams and the banks and boulders. I use anything that looks like a minnow, preferably a baby shad or herring look alike. I occasionally drift the D in my boat using clowsers in white on chartruse and smack bass and walleyes. This year red/white have scored me a ton of smaller stripers...hope this helps.
