Basking Ridge - Rt 78 area

Hi, does anyone know about the river that runs next to Rt.78 at the Basking Ridge exit? I got off there for gas and coffee and noticed all the water, very swampy also. Is it fishable?

Dead River , Part Of Passic Water Shed , They Use To Stock It .go 2 More Exit West To Exit 30 Take 287 North To Exit 22amake The U Turn On Cross Road And Go North To The Front Of The At&t Property Off Of 202 And Fish The North Branch Of The Raritan , Better Fishing .

I used to live near there. Just a little more info on the Dead River in that area. Jheaney was right they used to stock it years back. The best fishing there though was for the smallmouth and the although less desirable fairly decent size carp. There was a way to hike down through the woods where the holdover fishing was pretty good but it's been years.
