Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Bagels

No worries... I haven't even started pitting one suggested place against the other yet...

Or posing one flavor against another...

This thread might be good for two dozen flies....

You can always circle back and add a poll on favorite bagel flavors. I see 12 pages by the weekend

There is also [h=1]Bagful O' Bagels[/h]in Lafayette just south of town on Rt 15 but they close at 2pm. And yea, the Bagel Station closes early too.

So that's why LIBS call it Pork Roll

It's a lot worse than that. Everyone in South Jersey calls it pork roll. And the same people actually eat scrapple. Go figure.

GO FIGURE...

You'd think that people would steer clear of a food that has the word CRAP in it...

Ya see I won't go NEAR Shiitake mushrooms or even Dumplings...

Newbie here. We eat scrapple in these parts (Trenton, Central NJ) get my round rolls from the old school "Italian People's bakery" in the 'burg. They know how to do it. I live and breath delorenzo's tomato pies. If you order them as "pizzas" and not "pies" are you even from Jersey?

Its pork roll down here, never understood the taylor ham thing, but according to most northerners central NJ doesn't exist (it does)

Good bagels in my neck of the woods if you're ever passing through are Bagels N Cream in Robbinsville, NY Bagel Deli in Ewing, and Bagelissimo by the Columbus flea market has a mean jalapeno cheddar bagel if you're into that kinda thing.

Quick anecdote somewhat relevant here is the pizza in Los Angeles is one of the saddest things I've ever eaten, college buddy told me it was just as good as NJ and I laughed in his face.

They have the same idea in Chicago. The thin crust there is pathetic.

Italian People’s makes the best hard roll on the planet.

When I was dating my wife we went to meet her family for the first time. As we got about a mile from her mom & dads house I was looking for a sign that this girl was the right one and voila I looked to the left and saw “The pork roll store”. Her mom still makes me a pork roll or Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on an Italian people’s roll whenever we stay over. I married well:)
