Another Dam Article

Outstanding article, Congrads!

Just wish some of the member's here at NEFF would let some of US know there are going to be media present taking PHOTOS....

I could stand stream side pointing just as well as others!!!!

I know... I know.... I shouldn't let it bother me...

Seeing those photos is almost tempting enough to put my fingers in dirt... NAWWWwwww I'll get over it soon enough.

I wonder what is next on Rusty Spinners list of things to do???

What kinda boat?

Who's paying for the gas?

Do you have to bring your own rod, or is one provided for you?

Does he supply refreshments, or is it BYOB?

What time are you leaving?

Does he let you drive the boat or is the owner a wheel hog?

What kinda boat? a little 18 footer out of Leonardo

Who's paying for the gas? Split 3 ways

Do you have to bring your own rod, or is one provided for you? you can use mine in 9 or 11 weights

Does he supply refreshments, or is it BYOB? Strictly BYOB (Coronas allowed, but only if you bring a pint of Gentleman Jack)

What time are you leaving? A few minutes before God wakes up

Does he let you drive the boat or is the owner a wheel hog?
He gets seasick very easily and I usually drive the boat, but would step aside gladly to see a real ocean-going man at the helm:)

Just follow Brian around and sooner or later the press will show up. However, you may have to plant a couple of hundred trees or tote a few dozen tires to pass the time.

BTW, a mature bald eagle and a pair of ospreys has been hanging around the Gruendyke dam site for the past couple of weeks. Ospreys are fairly common (I saw 9 one day at the Pequest Hatchery), but to see an eagle hanging around one of NJ's smaller rivers is very cool. The ubitquitous Canadian geese have been joined by mallards, teal, and mergansers since the river is flowing free. It appears the osprey are hunting the ducks. Every time an osprey appears the ducks hide in the weeds. The eagle can muscle any catch away from the ospreys and when the eagle stops by the ospreys head for the hills. (I guess I am spending too much time there).

Our funders love seeing our name in the press doing good deeds:). I've become a complete media whore. Looks like Jeff is onto me - I may need to find a new volunteer to replace him. Skim? Buehler? Anyone???
