9 days in the Winds

We fished skull all morning until the growling in our stomachs scared the fish away.
Fat and packed we reluctenly left skull and started making our way out.
First came Washikie creek. We planned a route across that required a little rock hopping and I was taught once again that these boots don't work on snotty rocks. When I jumped to the last rock before the bank both feet shot out from under me and I did a spectacular chest flop. Luckily my pack caught a boulder next to me and momentarily got hung up otherwise Im sure my rib cage would have exploded on impact. The kids found their own route across and we moved on.
On through a beautiful park and down the steep chute towards Marms where the cdc or Fremont trail we started on and Haileys pass trail met.
Once on the cdc we took a long break. The kids started out excited to hike downhill for a change but they found out fast that SUCKED just as bad as going up. Keeping your load and momentum in check downhill required non stop breaking and their quads were toast.
Past Marms and into the long meadow between Marms and Dads lake. A quick trip through some trees and Dads lay in front of us.
My youngest still wanted badly to fish Dad's and be able to say he caught a fish in Dad's lake and I badly wanted for him to do that….but, it was getting late and the way were going the only thing we'd be able to do when we got out is pitch the tent and spend the night at the trail head.
Thats when my youngest said; "lets stay one more day and camp at Dad's."
YES!! Are you kidding me, can we stay another day at DADS?? HELL YESS!!!
I was floored again. I thought these kids were beyond done, to ask for one more day…I was in shock.

This is the code you used when you successfully posted an image, with a link to the photobucket page:

I can't explain how or why you did it, but that second one is not an image, and the url code is incomplete.
You could simplify by forgetting the URL code and just post the image.

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typingafter it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image.

Post it at the Drake. They appreciate a good trip report over there and can handle your photos. I haven't been able to start a thread here for months... something about storage overload. This site's good though for spot burning the upper West Branch of the Delaware and complaining about wind/flows/too many drift boats/too many waders/too many stinktoons/green slime/lack of bugs/too many bugs, and so on. It's also good for having a long debate about up and across, down and across, fracking, and the exact nature of CMM's issues.
This is the best thread on here in years. If you can't post it because of technical problems, it's a damn shame. Take it elsewhere and link to it so we can read the conclusion.

Post it at the Drake. They appreciate a good trip report over there and can handle your photos. I haven't been able to start a thread here for months... something about storage overload. If you post it in the Drake you must show a picture of you holding an IPA beer. That is a requirement. You must also use the word "dude".

There is a problem sometimes with uploading high resolution image files here, but posting to the Drake isn't a good solution.
I'll talk to Cabarle about it and let you guys know.

Hey, I'm an easy going guy, I roll with the punches and sometimes give some, but wtf is going on?!?!?!?!
I have followed this thread, lived vicariously through it...
wanted to be there, to experience it....
an amazing experience for a family, a father and his son's.......
I was hooked, but now,......NOW, I am left on the edge of the abyss, wanting,......needing, to hear the end!!!!!!
and see the pictures for fuckssake!!!!

Gave it a new home, cleaned it up and finished it...complete with LU's denouement.
