Detailed Report

I fished some Trout Production water on National Park land for the second time in my never ending search for wild trout. Water looked great, not much has changed from my first visit with some friends a few months back, with the exception of a couple of fallen tree's. I intended to hike to the end of the park boundaries downstream and work my way back towards where I parked (30-40 minute hike following the stream). As I neared my destination I saw a dog walker with their dog in the stream :( . I said all is fair I'll work my way further downstream and stick to my plan. As I rounded the corner to the park boundary I saw fly line and immediately knew this trip would be for exercise and sight seeing.

The I told the older guy I'm going to go the opposite way he was heading and of course he was heading upstream. After an hour past and I caught up to him, he said he couldn't even spook a fish let alone catch one.

I started off trying to nymph but the water was generally too low to do it, so I switched to dries with the same results. All in all the trip gave me good exercise from the hike, and good casting practice for tight situations.

im going out on a limb here but im pretty sure the kid isnt even out of high school yet. maybe take at easy on him.

if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all especially if the person is a freaking kid. thats the theory i use with you beetle, and i think it's working fairly well.

Pots & Kettles? Kids will be kids...

For the record, I honestly meant thanks for the time spent reading the thread. Taking into consideration the lack of fishing reports in recent times, one would think any report would be appreciated.

The purpose of my report format is to give essential details initially, and to those that are "interested" in knowing more can read in more detail. This is the format I use no matter the outcome of the day.

I've been here for a number of years, even before taking up fly fishing. Despite what I do/don't bring to hand I try to give the details of my outings, along with some pictures.

To anyone who has spent time reading this, I thank you. If you don't like it click groan, block me, or continue to "have fun" being irrelevant at the expense of this forum. At the end of the day its your prerogative. Thanks.

I assume you didn't read the terms and conditions when signing up...

TO make a long story short, NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR POSTS ON HERE. Once you make your initial thread, its fair game. Aside from a few of the veteran posters on here whom are greatly respected such as BRK TRT, ANDY, and a few others, 99% of the threads derail.

If you can't take the heat, get a fucking george foreman, pussy man.

I've been here for a number of years, even before taking up fly fishing. I know what the TC's are they've change a couple of times, I've been around to know whats going on, who's relevant, and who's not.

Thanks for the time again.

Nice report again, next time tie a fucking fly to end of your line you baboon's ass.

Perhaps this will help, I started with a walt's worm, then switched to a parachute adams and after that a tan elk hair caddis (those were the only two types of dries I had on me at the time.

.... continue to "have fun" being irrelevant at the expense of this forum.

The irrelevance is what adds value to this forum. Since everyone and their fucking grandma's panties have forums, blogs, etc about being relevant, site's like NEFF are important for keeping things in check.
I'll go out on a limb and say 90% of relevant knowledge has been covered in a handful of the "classic" flyfishing books...most others are just regurgitating the same shit and/or just inflating their ego's

If you want to get nerdy go to the library otherwise let's have some fun!
