Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
I think what Jim is saying has some merit. We all know that Jim dabble in real estate up there so he does have some other vested interests in the fishery and its success.
One thing that has not been mentioned here is that if they keep the status quo or the FFMP the numbers of trout will stay...
I wish this guy would fall in and lose or break his Go Pro… This is exactly what we don't need. He is a buffoon on a good day… Catskill John I agree with you on this one. His buddies probably come and net all the fish out.
I would disagree, the water probably leaves the gorge at least the same temperature, if not cooler because of all of the springs and small tributaries that have influence on the river down there. You were definitely ok fishing below the gorge. Don't worry about the negativity. Have at it. It's...

After having lots of experience with this a Canon beats a Nikon to death. I've seen images from both. However, you need the highest end one. I own a 5D Mark ii and my friend has three mark iii cameras. His livelihood depends on it. If you want to chat about it I'll be at the January show. I'm...
You are getting soft on us here. They are going to invest billions to develop machinery etc that is used for fracking and make billions off of the investment. It's just a business decision and most likely has nothing to do with making if "safer."
Let's set this straight. Beetle wanted to ask me for a guide trip. I said yes, pay for it because he is not serious. Then I told him that I didn't want to take him and not to bother me and he sent me Facebook messages to the point where I had to block him. I wouldn't guide him for all the money...

You DO NOT want to attempt to argue with browntroutchickentrout. He will explode your platitudes with facts. He knows what he is taking about and if he does not, he will find data/research to explain his points. He is an engineer. So don't try. Not so easy of a target...
Brian,
You are rehabilitating them :) Restoration is impossible once they are changed, they are changed forever! You help change them for the better though :)
For bigger streams a 9 foot 4 weight SAGE ONE
Medium and larger small streams a 9 foot 3 weight SAGE ONE. It's also a killer West Branch Rod!
For tiny steams an 8'9" SAGE CIRCA is wonderful.
I hope this helps!
About the copper zebra midge. Keep it simple. I do the best with thread, wire and bead on a hook. For those little larval patterns do make it too difficult. Midges tied in the round outproduce more difficult ties!
They are all pretty close in performance. The bottoms are so advanced now that the two main companies are pretty close in their offerings. Hyde and Clackacraft are first and second. I rowed a RO drift boat once and it handled surprisingly well. The only problem is that they are a bit tough to...
We will have it for the show! The trailer will be up tonight. The editor has been working on projects that he has neglected while doing the DVD project!
With the broken arm this fall and school it hasn't been a lot of fun! Things are getting back to normal, except that it hurts like hell to cast! But that will definitely get taken care of. We will have the new DVD out on indicator nymphing titled, "Mastering the Dead Drift" It was filmed on the...
