Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
Speaking of Atlantics....whatever happened to Christopher (aka fcch)? Unlike golden shower, his posts were insightful, technically oriented and educational.
Well, your second post was even worse.
:dickhead:
Stop perpetuating lies! AJ didn't catch that fish on his own. He hooked it on his own. He had help playing it, and based on his own description a dozen pages back, probably stood no chance of landing it if it wasn't for the in-stream...
Welcome to the forum!
Your first post is rediculous. Please try to do better with your next one.
It isn't opinion that Aaron didn't catch that fish 100% by himself. If he was to apply for a record, this fish would be disqualified. Check out the IGFA International Fly Fishing Rules. No one is...
Welcome to the site and sport! There are two guides that I would recommend you contact. They both can set you up with whatever you need, and probably can also let you know where you could camp near places they would fish with you. First would be Jim Serio (aka Big Spinner on this board) up in...
Denis....I'm all for you making a couple of bucks off the site if possible.
That said, I think those who have provided the intellectual content for the site over the years need to be provided a parachute. I suggest that you revise the site guidelines to provide takeover protection for all...
Welcome to the board and sport! It will be frustrating at times, but when you "get it", the satisfaction is great!
I think the advice given about fly selection, mending and depth is good. It sounds like you are fishing slow water because you occasionally see the fish. For me, it's easier to...
I've got a 2004 Honda CRV with 220K miles on it! It's only had two non-routine services....one water pump and the power lock on the drivers door. That car owes me nothing! I'm still driving it, and it runs great. I have a son with his permit, and will likely sell him the car next year when he...
Yes, that's why when in small water where I won't be in much over my knees I take them out and go with just felt. In bigger/deeper water, especially in pocket water where they are most needed, I don't have any fear they are spooking the fish.
I'm another big proponent for Korkers. I generally leave in the soles that are felt with studs, but when in a driftboat or fishing skinny water will change them out to just felt or rubber soles. They have stood up very well over time, are comfortable and grip well.
