I've got a Brodin Ghost net, and I like it. It was a gift, so the price tag wasn't an issue. Would be pricey if I was buying it for myself.
The rubber nets are nice if you fish dropper flies. They used to snag in the bag and be a pain. Rubber is supposed to be better for the fish..... doesn't remove their protective slime, so that's another reason to go in that direction.
Seems hard to go wrong with a rubber net for $20. If you decide that you're not crazy about it, then at least you didn't spend a fortune on it. I agree with lightenup about that stretchy cord. Even if you don't lose it, I've had those snag a branch, stretch out, and then launch for the back of my head.
