MACFLY
Too many streams too little time
To be honest I am a pretty lucky guy and I have a good deal to be thankful for
First and foremost my wife and children.
The rest in no particular order
My career which has gone amazingly well.
The poconos which are an hour away and filled with fish
Zip front waders because well you know
The ISO hatch which starts in May goes to October has big flies that are easy to see and prompts aggressive slashing strikes from trout
Hat eyes because man my vision is going downhill fast
Mild spring evenings with cool water, thick hatches, and willing trout
The secret stream with cold water all year for when it's too hot to fish anywhere else
2 handle fly rods cause man I can cast a country mile and my shoulder doesn't hurt
My time in the military which among other things afforded me the opportunity to fish far & wide
Polarized lenses nuff said
The last day of my fall Montana trip on the beaverhead river. Especially the last fish of the day
The upper Delaware which is the closest thing to fishing out west
The dry dropper combo
Bamboo fly rods and the artists who create them
The large wild brown who finally eats your fly after an hour of stalking and casting.
That feeling you get when you are connected to that wild fish on the end of your line
Hero casts!!!
A good meal at the end of the fishing day
The anticipation of getting on stream with the bugs hatching and the river swirling all around you
Attractor dries fished tight to the bank from a drift boat
BHC and his never ending supply of flies...btw I need some ISO patterns Al
Any day you get to fish..cause it could always be your last
Happy Thanksgiving NEFF. My best you and all your families. Even you Beetle
