Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Things I am thankful for

MACFLY

Too many streams too little time
To be honest I am a pretty lucky guy and I have a good deal to be thankful for

First and foremost my wife and children.

The rest in no particular order

My career which has gone amazingly well.

The poconos which are an hour away and filled with fish

Zip front waders because well you know:)

The ISO hatch which starts in May goes to October has big flies that are easy to see and prompts aggressive slashing strikes from trout

Hat eyes because man my vision is going downhill fast

Mild spring evenings with cool water, thick hatches, and willing trout

The secret stream with cold water all year for when it's too hot to fish anywhere else:)

2 handle fly rods cause man I can cast a country mile and my shoulder doesn't hurt

My time in the military which among other things afforded me the opportunity to fish far & wide

Polarized lenses nuff said

The last day of my fall Montana trip on the beaverhead river. Especially the last fish of the day:)

The upper Delaware which is the closest thing to fishing out west

The dry dropper combo

Bamboo fly rods and the artists who create them

The large wild brown who finally eats your fly after an hour of stalking and casting.

That feeling you get when you are connected to that wild fish on the end of your line

Hero casts!!!

A good meal at the end of the fishing day:)

The anticipation of getting on stream with the bugs hatching and the river swirling all around you

Attractor dries fished tight to the bank from a drift boat

BHC and his never ending supply of flies...btw I need some ISO patterns Al

Any day you get to fish..cause it could always be your last:)

Happy Thanksgiving NEFF. My best you and all your families. Even you Beetle

Paul, you cursed me. We were floating the D one day. We were on the E. Branch and my eyes were PERFECT. You told me when I turn 40, I was going to lose my vision. Thanks Pal. I turned 40 3 years ago and haven't been able to see shit since.

That was very sweet.....Happy Thanksgiving to you too MAC.....maybe we can still meet at that exit, whatever it was...I'll bring the stuffing:rofl::rofl::rofl:

It's probably the thing I have like the least about the 40s. I now wear glasses all the time. Laser vision surgery is probably in my future:) happy turkey day Dennis and don't worry. You can still cast a country mile

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends on NEFF.

Great post MAC

I think you missed one thing pertaining to fly fishing.

I am thankful to live in a country that provides public water for recreational fishing. In a lot of countries the water is private. If you do not have the means to pay, you can not experience what we take for granted in this country.

I remember it well, because I was catching fish.

It was a forgettable day for you.

I remember now you were catching chubs and thought they were trout. You were screaming at people in the game lands about how epic the fishing was... and it was... For you...catching chubs. Now go shove a turkey leg in your mouth and reflect on what you are thankful for you boob

Right on, Mac.

Happy Thanksgiving.
