t minus 16hrs...

2 more hours of work... then a meeting at 8pm... then a stop by the house to pick up the "equipment"... then the midnight run to PA... a few hours of sleep then it's OPENING DAY!!!

Spent last night getting the spinning outfit together, then spent a few hours getting thy fly outfit together, then some more time just getting ready.... and I'm still not ready...


Looking forward to opening day as I haven't participated in years...

You have no idea how excited I am this is going to be my first trout season. I am heading up north after work to stay at my sisters house so I can go out with my brother in law to fish the Pequest nice and early.

Dennis,water is high today from the rains,but tommorow should be good.

With the dropping of water levels this coming week,and the air temps getting into the 60's and 70's get your engines started!

Thanks Joe... I was actually going to go today but noticed on Catskill flies that the levels went back up to over 1000... I thought it would be down to 650 today. Ohh well, maybe tomorrow and if not, I'll have to wait until next weekend.

Today I may just go out and take some mob photo's. I'll visit the Musky first by Saxton Falls, then run over to Stephens, the Pequest, Black River, the parking lot at the Claremont, SB in Longvalley by the Antique shop, and finally, the Gorge. Should be interesting. Unfortunately, if anyone is looking for photo's, you'll have to wait. My digital camera got wet again and the flash unit bit the dust. I ordered the new parts from Nikon the other day and should get them next week. So, I'll be taking out the F100 and taking film photo's.
