I have been shopping for a quality pair of polarized sun glasses. I need somthing I can have a perscription into. Just looking for some input from you all.

You can order perscription polaroids from Smith, Action Optics. Single Vision or Bifocal.

Have to have them. When you get older Lad you will also require bi-focals.

All the major chains carry them.

I already use Bi-Focals at 43 years old. I have been looking at the new Orvis HVO's. Are these high dollor glasses really superior??

Sun glasses

In addition to getting the polarized, UV protected type, I also look for lightweight glasses, since the ones that I have used with heavy glass hurt my nose after 8 hours on the stream. Also, if you have AAA, you can get a good discount at sears Optical.

Action Optics

About 2 weeks ago I recieved my first pair of Action Optics RX polarized Glasses.

I am very Happy so far with them, just not happy with the amount of time I have been ablet o put them to good use.

Far Exceeded my last pair ( ray bans ) .

Thanks Sib!

Just found an Fly Rod & Reels June issue has a report on sun glasses. Pretty good. Looks like it will be the Orvis HVO's. Wish me luck.

I like ones with those side pieces to keep out light from coming in from the sides and it also gives extra eye protection from a cast gone wrong. I prefer hard plastic to soft materials that sag and flop around as they get older.Mine came from Orvis a couple of years ago.
