Sonny's post and my question

Life is a challenge.. Be Adventurous
I am very glad that sonny brought up this conversation, i have been fly fishing for about 4 years and many times i see trout and they are jumping out of the water to get at a fly or bug , but i have realized many times that it is not a dry fly they are hitting at, or at least i dont think they are , because i dont see any hatch or dry flies floating.... any way i'm not sure what to use, mostly i use a black caddis and i do not dry it , so it gets heavy and starts to sink, then i slowly strip it in , and many times, i will have a trout grab it , i have also been successful doing this with black ants,.............. when i do keep a trout, i have checked what they are eating and , i find dark black insect's in the stomach, which reminds me of fly bodies with no wings, and i have done some checking and i'm pretty sure they are stone flies, but again what would be best used..
