Hi, anyone see the gage today?Didnt realize we got that much rain last night with the river being at 852 CFs right now.Is the river fish able this high? Thanks, Pat.

I haven't gotten a chance to look at the river yet Just got home from working last night -- If you give me a cpl hours I will give a VISUAL report to anyone interested -- I have a lot of running around to do today for the trip Staring tomorrow ST REGIS -- Here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat, the river at the level is not fishable at all today. By tomorrow, maybe, but I doubt it. Check with Shannon's.

thank you danme I would appreciate a visual report very much! Thanks!

Unfishable at these levels and you don't need a visual report to know that. The river at 800 cfs is yoohoo colored and raging. Maybe, and I mean maybe it might be fishable in some spots late tomorrow, Monday for sure except we're supposed to get more rains on Monday. But we needed both this rain and the cooler temps, so it's a tradeoff to give us fishing deeper into the summer.

I saw the river on my way to work...STAY HOME!!!!! Yohoo is putting it mildly...I would say toilet water after a night of PBR and MAD DOG...:)

The South Branch is roaring and looks like Choclate Milk -- Id give it 2 or 3 days before fishing it -- This is as seen in High Bridge on Arch Street around 2:30pm Saturday

Having stopped by the fly shop this afternoon, the river was dropping quickly but remains well off-color. You may have safe enough wading tomorrow, but it is likely to be very off color still.

Would it be worth it to even try and go today?I know the water is still yoohoo colored but down to 139 cfs.The most I've fished it at is 97 cfs. Thanks, Pat.

Should be fishable today. I may head out to see if there's an evening hatch now that the rain that looked bad as it headed our way just passed us by without more than a sprinkle.

The river is definitely fishable today. I just came from scouting it out, and it is slightly off color, and at a great level. The rain that just moved through didn't amount to much.

I fished the SBR above Califon on Saturday evening at about 300 cfs. Believe it or not, there was Cahills and Sulphers coming off. While there were a few takers, not nearly enough to warrant dries. I fished a #6 white cone head bugger with flash. I brought 5 to net and missed many more. There were many short strikes, as the color of the river was indeed yoohoo brown and they seemed to have trouble keying on the fly.

I fished it last night and it was in good shape - slightly off color and up some. Fish were rising to sulphurs and cahills when we got there at 7:00, and we caught a bunch right off the bat, then it poured for about 15-20 minutes and the hatches slowed. Fish still rose, but sporadically, and did wind up having a decent night.

I swung by the Musky and it was up, off color and fast. Nothing hatching on the upper river so I called it an early evening. Maybe this evening if I can find the time and my daughter's softball game is cancelled.

What did you have luck with Dave? I fished there Sunday and did well high-sticking' nymphs. I tried a hopper/dropper rig using stimie for a while, but I wasnt feelin the love.
