Well if you didn't bring your step ladder, you were destined to not catch fish. A ladder at RV is a must if you want to reach those cruising trout.

I fly fish the NYC resivoirs and you really do need a boat to get out to the fish, considering they do cruise just outta reach. I saw a show on wfn where they ff'ed with ladders to catch monster cutts on a resivoirs.
