Here is something I have been mulling over for awhile. This is my first attempt and it could use some tweaking. I used a piece of fly line and dubbed over it for the body,hen tips for the wings and the hackle is wrapped thorax style tied on a klinkhammer hook. Let me know what u guys think. I also coated the line with silicone before dubbing it.

Maybe figure a way to taper the body a bit.....I think it will sit in the film nicely with the buoyancy of the fly line (I assume it was a floating line) and the weight given by the hook at that angle......

Your right about the taper. I'm gonna tie a few more to get that down pat. The fly seems to float nice and sit nice in a glass of water. I'll post more later to show progress.
