Here's a thought provoking blog rant about private waters and the illusion by some that pelletheads are the same as wild trout and other "ideals" all related to greed - from turning over small stones. Thanks for posting this. I agree with much of the author's argument, but don't have a serious problem with stocking fatties by private clubs - I just don't want to be a member of any stupid club, but won't stop others.

Just wanted to bump this post, as it really is helpfl. It illustrates one of the principal conflict dialectic dichotomies of modern angling: the struggle between the sportsman and the conservationsist.

I have tried to educate the mass of dull witted knuckleheads here...
