Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Opening day

Beaver

Fishizzle, I use worms but I'm looking to upgrade!
Just came back from Roscoe. The rivers looked great for this time of the year. Gin clear with good flows. Didn't see many fly fisherman catching anything, but the spinning guys would catch a fish every few minutes. Most fish under 12", but did see one chain with two 16-17" fish. I was there for the first cast at 7am. Later the pool cleared out with just a few people fishing the Junction pool. Most people went fishing down and up the river. Museum was loaded with people, many TU guys. The small tribs were running quite low for April 1st. Most snow has been melted on the mountains, but the Reservoirs are still mostly frozen with only few spots of open water where the tribs run in. Still there were more people fishing the reservoirs for lakers than all the rivers combined. When I was leaving at 3pm it started to rain pretty bad. Here are few shots taken at 7am.

I guess its safe to say the fish were a tad spooky...
looks identical to the Sandusky river in Ohio during the walleye and white bass runs. Combat!

I didn't fish my self, but like I said, only the spin fisherman were catching some fish.

i went to a place in the catskill mountains and i went about 10 aqm with a spin rod (i cant fly fish because i cant walk into a good spot and cant wade because i recently got a cast taken off ) so ... i was thee and it was fished out i caught like 3 12 inchers and some jerk showed up and stood right where the fish could see him ... so i left
