NYS Mayflies for your enjoyment.

I was able to collect a few mayflies from my front porch this evening. AK, let me beat you to it... I figure they bumbled their way into the crater, and try as they might, were unable to flap their way out. I hesitate to give them monikers, as having failed miserably in the past. Feel free to give an identification a whirl, although the pics are NOT the greatest, I've faith in many of you!

I don't worry about bug ID, but more on what to tie onto the end of my tippet. I would tie on a parachute sulphur or maybe a rusty spinner looking at that crew.

I found all of them around 11:00 PM last night.

First, this ain't Jersey; I'd rather not order me a hundred 9"ers for the weekend...
Second, AK might come...
Third, I can't believe YOU'D contemplate entering the crater....
AND, lastly, the thought of NEFF get togethers scares me ever since I was threatened with being dunked every mile on the West Branch to check temperatures, when one get together was proposed some years back...

Well, so much for FAITH(it's over rated anyway...). I guess you guys are not inclined to play along (or afraid to). So, I guess, you're gonna make me give it a go...

1 and 3 are of a male sulfur with 5,6,and 7 being the female... (if you were expecting Latin, well, you've got the wrong guy for that...

4,5 and 9 are a Quill Gordon spinner
10 and 11 maybe being the dun?

Now, 2? In all fairness to the rest of you, it was a bit lighter than the picture shows. Not BLACK, but a VERY deep brown, maybe a DARK mahogany? But, as to NAME it(?); I'll defer to the experts on that one.

ANY thoughts?
