Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

NJ return

Strictly powerbait fisher with an ounce of lead.
Well, I was only out here a year but I am returning to Jersey to take a job in operations management for a restaurant group. I would love to wet a line with you boys again and look forward to getting back in the scene.

Learning to fish out here was pretty tough and fishing the front range is typically more technical than the west slope or up north. At any rate, here are some pics of the places I was lucky enough to get out too. Some of them include the south platte at deckers, the dream stream, poudre canyon, and big thompson.

And of course a lot of my return has to do with this girl right here. I learned during my time away that nothing replaces true friends and family.

I hope to see you all soon.

Great. Another guy stacked up at Saxton Falls on the opener...

I'm driving out there in a couple days. What would you recommend during runoff? I would imagine all of the tailwaters will be somewhat crowded. Stillwater maybe? I wanted to hit Cheesman and maybe South Boulder, as well as some streams and lower elevation lakes in RMNP.

any streams with run off are high, fast and off color which means they arent fishing too well. deckers has been fishing very well and if you have a day pack, do the hike into cheeseman if you wanna catch a pig.

I have been doing well on juju baetis, but watch out for caddis hatching. if all else fails throw on a big stone and san juan or a train of small midges.
