For all of the "Transplants"... This site is a fly fishing site and will remain as such. With that in mind, we not only cover NJ, but also PA/NY/CT/VT/etc... I have no interest in turning this into a Ken Lockwood Gorge social club and I think many of you and many of our friends who have been participating or lurking from other parts of the country would agree. We have approximately 3000 registered users here who like our Delaware River / Beaverkill / Farmington / Bushkill / SBR / etc... fishing reports.
I have received quite a few inquiries as to the future of NEFF. I have assured the inquirers that the site will remain as it has always been. Fly fishing only and will cover the North Eastern territory which of course does include NJ. So, your NJ Flyfishing posts will still be accepted with open arms.
With the passing of TST/NJTrout, I want to do what's right for the members who have been using this site on and off for the past few years. We have a great community here and we welcome all fellow fly fishers to enjoy it. This doesn't mean that if you're a spin fisherman you're not welcomed. Please feel welcomed to participate but keep in mind that this is a fly fishing site. Yes, we at times deviate off our original topics but it does remain a fly fishing site.
The domain name, newjerseytrout.c0m belongs to NEFF and has for the past 2-3 years. I will be putting up another site for trout anglers of all types under this domain name. I hope to provide a place where alternate types of fishermen will have a voice. Unlike TST, you will not be censored and will always feel comfortable knowing that you can talk about catching fish by your own preferred means of doing so.
With that being said, I will close this thread and will only accept replies to my following questions through Private Messaging.
1. Were you satisifed with the TST format or do you prefer something a little different?
2. Are you willing to help out with moderating the site?
3. Hosting is not free. Are you willing to donate to help pay for hosting.
4. If you did not like the format of TST, are you willing to help foot the costs of new software?
5. Anything else you would like to add, please include that.
