just saying hello to my fellow fly fishers. fishing my whole life and started fly fishing in 2006. in 2019 i bought a house on the musconetcong so the river is in my backyard which is really great. i mainly fly fish for trout, smallmouth, carp, and steelhead. but last year i caught my first delaware river shad on the fly which was pretty cool. so hello everyone!

I'm impressed you caught a shad on the fly rod. I tried that half hardheartedly a few times eons ago and was never successful, but I did catch some on spinning gear. They are a great fish to catch.

Every so often, I'll catch a shad on a flyrod. They will eat dry flies.

I recently sampled these tacos and heartily endorse them. He is also a pretty good fly tyer, as are you fin-ite. I will shortly start a new fly tying thread moving on from real cdc to something, I'm not sure what, but it will be good. It's a good chance for the new guys to outdo me, which should be pretty easy.
