Names of pools on main stem

CR

New member
I'm curious if anyone can walk me through the actual names of the pools on the main stem starting at Junction pool? A previous post today mentions some names, which I found interesting.

OK... Here's what I know....pools and other terms used to describe the river. Anyone else please correct me if merited and what's the name of the pool between Knights and Buckingham???

From Juction Pool downstream....

1) "The Braids" Series of Islands and braids after Junction pool tailout

2) Lake Lenore.... Very large pool with very minimal flow in the middle with lots of chubs... some very large

3) Stockport... Large riffly pool/section

4) The Eel Trap... Old eel trap which begins a nice riffle prior to next pool

5) The Cemetary Pool... Large deep pool with tons of structure

6) Knights Riff.... AKA "The Bug Factory"

7) Knights Pool ... tremendous pool...deep with amazing structure

8) Riff.... "don't know the name of this one

9) Pool.... ???

10) "The Wall" Top of Buckingham Pool.... Gorgeous structure and fish to boot

11) Buckingham pool... common "end of the line" for upriver floats as PA public access boat ramp located here.

What does Bards Parker stand for?

Also, just before Equinunk there's a split in the river with great runs on both sides. Is there a name for that section?

Bard Parker is the name of the plant (building) right there when you drive in. i think the full name is Smith Dickson / Bard Parker Division. They make surgical equipment or something like that. I also think they're closing this factory down and the building's for sale. Another blow to the local economy.

Hope this helps!
