Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
I have about a dozen patterns I carry for river fishing, half classics and half modern streamers. The Grizzly Prince has been very good to me. A great streamer to cast up in the end of a riffle and rip downstream through a pool.
It's hard to tell from your photo whether you stripped the bottom side of grizzly or not -- it looks like there's a stem in the middle, but the bottom side looks too even to not be stripped. I'm thinking that with modern hackles, you could get a grizzly thin and long enough that you don't need to strip the side (as in the original,)
