here is something i got into getting ready for the deep lots.

Caught this bow on a big stone like that a couple of weeks ago

If you hold the fish closer to the camera it looks even bigger.

You should try a close a close up with a panoramic camera.

When you make the under body with the lead wire. Try to flatten the top and bottom with a pair of pliers. Or tie a quill on each side of the hook shank before you tie on the led wire I have a case of old nymph body forms that use to achieve the same look. I can not seem to find for sale anymore. I suppose no one produces them any longer. Both techniques will give the body that nice flat appearance. Nice tie though. That will defiantly work.

You can flatten the under body all ya want. But you are winding a thread AROUND it and then the other materials AROUND it. Guess what the results will be every time? Yup A ROUND fly.

dont worry about flattening it, just fish the damn thing
