KLG Report 11/10

Fished the Gorge today. There were some trees down thanks to Sandy. You have to climb over a couple just to get past the upper parking lot. Water was a bit off color. Caught one brown in the morning, pictured below, on a #16 Copper John. 4 hours later caught a small brown on a #18 pumpkin head midge. I spoke to a guy who caught a couple of browns on a here's ear nymph. Seemed like tough fishing all around.

Lot of fish occupied with the spawn this past week in the KLG/South Branch. However, there are plenty of fish around, and as you found, perserverance pays. Things will be picking back up soon.

Water was a bit off color.

Budd Lake flipped somewhat recently and that is causing the slightly off-colored water. It's not due to rains. As jcstikfish mentioned, they are on the spawn and are not thinking of eating as much as normal.

I was there the other day...I thought it was all the trout semen in the water...:rofl:
Seriously..the fishing was slow, a few risers to a bug soooo small I had nothing to imitate it....refusal, refusal, refusal....fun anyway
