Let's do it! I've been holding off because "late march" has been slow in coming this year. A one fly should ideally happen when there are actually flies on the water. So I'll start putting it together in late April instead. But yes I would sincerely like to make this happen.

We need to decide who is going to participate and get the teams established, entry money is due by, who will judge the contest? I am assuming that each team will have to adhere by honesty and integrity system of fish numbers.

That's right Moosey - Tomfly go back and check out the first post in the thread, I think it answers your questions.
Best Fish and Best Post take the two prizes, not # of fish. Both prizes would be awarded based on votes by site members. Votes in this case would cast by liking and thanking. (A like is a vote for best fish, a thanks is a vote for best post.)
Entrants fish in teams of two or three on the same water between sunrise and sundown, and prize money (from entry fees) is split between the designated charities of the "best fish" winning team and the "best post" winning team.
Only question I have is who is going to be responsible for collecting prize money and writing the checks. it's gotta be an NEFF member with a sterling reputation, trusted by one and all. I'm guessing that disqualifies me, Beetle and, now that I think about it, 99% of the guys who post here.

I'll collect the cash and write a check to the winning charity, and will post a photo of the thank you letter from the charity, so you all know I didn't just pocket the cash and use it to buy a used fly rod from MacFly. Maybe DC if he's willing can audit the finances, just to make it extra legit.

- Entry is based on one day of fishing on any water in the northeast, anytime between May 30 and June 15.
- Every team posts one post about their fishing day by midnight on June 16. (No earlier.)
- A prize goes to best fish (not biggest or most fish).
- Another prize for best post.
- Both of these competitions decided by votes from site visitors. (likes/thanks)
- Voting takes place between June 16 and June 20.
Sponsorship:
- Every team sends $15 per fisherman to the organizer and fishes for a designated charity.
- All proceeds go to the chosen charity of the "best fish" winning team.
- An organizer will collect the cash and send a check to the chosen charity.

There are very little logistics involved. Get your team together (or decide to fish solo) and send me a PM. Then go fishing for a day and post about it.
If people are balking at the $15 entry fee for charity, we can skip that part and fish for honor and glory.
