People reporting dead fish everywhere !!

Howell Township

Three Howell Township lakes with approximately 800 rainbow and brown trout, most between 10-14 inches were stocked on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The majority of the trout went into Echo and Aldrich Lakes. We also placed some in the lake adjacent to the Country Meadow gazebo off Plumstead Drive.
Enjoy fishing this fall! Any trout not caught during the fall and winter will be available for anglers the following spring!

I thought that DFGW did not raise nor stock brown trout any longer? I do not see brown trout referenced as being raised anywhere on their website. Where would the brown trout have come from, or was this a private deal?

It appears to be a private stocking, hence the brown trout.

Dead non native, stocked trout in a man made lake that cannot support trout and you are asking why they died??
