FUDR and an odd day on the river

The FUDR was a good time as usual. It's always nice to see and speak with people you haven't seen in a while.

A special thanks to AKSkim for the sponsor page! The FUDR and NEFF appreciates this.

I hear this loud noise coming up the river this past Saturday and it sounded like it was moving pretty quick. Then coming upstream right toward me I see this jet coming at me pretty fast then as it approaches, it slows down then goes in another direction. It was a pretty weird scene.

Lot's of different insects on the water and a lot of quality fish were brought to the net on Saturday. Caught most of my fish on these olives. I'll tie some more of these up when I get some time.

yeah I know it's a crappy picture but I thought it was pretty cool how it does look a bit like a mayfly.

and that's about it for now. I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

FUDR is doing some great work on the upper D! To think that one day, long ago, TU and FUDR had major differences on the flow regimes or where we should be headed on that seems silly now. Glad to see our organizations working together to improve the habitat on the upper Delaware! Wish I had more time to devote to this amazing resource myself...

No.

That was recon out of Quantico looking for afternoon risers near Stockport and Knights after belting down a few at Lydias on their way back from surveillance near Hancock.

And on that note...

Sulphurs in #16 this week as it gets warmer.

They were out big time south of Kellams to Callicoon this past weekend along with Olives. Late April!

However, consistant North wind and 30mph+ gusts were a bitch yesterda
y.

Tight lines,
TR

Don't worry about that Red Star on the wing.

It is only the New York Teachers Association getting ready for their May Day celebration tomorrow.

Forgot to mention that when I was taking my Winston rod apart at the end of the day, one of the mid sections broke. :( I'm very pissed off about this.

Also, who fishes with an olive color line? These things are terrible. I tried one of these the other day and just couldn't get used to not seeing my line.

That sucks. I assume it's under warranty . I just spooled up a clear
Line this weekend. Why I have no idea. It's pretty much invisible:)

Congrats to Ryan Bunn , Ryan's a good man and always helps out where he can and he can fish . That's good fly fishing Karma for you .

They gum the 'ole meat pole up there. Experienced 2 girls who thought using, or, letting you know they had teeth, was a pleasureable feeling for me. Never had a bim up off my d*** so quick in my life. I guess that's what ya get for trolling the playground in 7th grade.

Kudos to Jeff Church! Had a good time catching up with him at the banquet. He was very generous and gave me a One Bug 2012 hat.. an extra special gift for sure.

Thanks Jeff! :)

I expect a BIG thank you to ME for me allowing this photo op. It's not every day I allow something like this to happen.
