FLY SHOP SERIES - Eldredge Bros.

AKSkim

Boston - Title Town USA
One of my favourite threads I put up is the Fly Shop Series where I post photos of the various fly shops across the country.

So last week I headed back up to Gods country and I stopped in the ELDREDGE BROTHERS FLY SHOP.

There is nothing better for a fly shop junkie like me than to walk into a well stocked shop.

Course it wouldn't be a fly shop without an extensive selection of flies on hand.

This is what I gauge the health of a shop so to speak, are well stocked fly bins.

Along with well stocked fly bins, materials, rods and reels, all the equipment....

They are all meaningless unless you have good people, who are more than willing to help working there.

Some good dudes in that shop. They really helped me out a couple of years ago for my first time out in the salt. Sold me the right flies (all locally made), sent me to the right spots, didn't rip me off on equipment that I forgot at home.

I'm sure that shop caters to your neat and orderly side just fine, but the question that begs is did you buy your bait frozen or live? :):)

Not only a great shop, a great bunch of people.

They took a trip to Argentina, fished a Bomber, and took some great trout with it.

AK,
great post, I love Maine. This and Bob's Clam Shack are my first 2 stops in Maine every year.I used to love it when these guys came to Somerset before Chuck Furimsky started scalping the shops to come to the show in Somerset.I remember the first year these guys came ....had one of the big spot against the wall on the floor.
The help there is also very good if you are new to Maine and its various fisheries, these guys will go out of their way to halp equip or give great advice.
